Installing on Windows

Takes about a minute · one-time setup

LOWRaudio is a brand-new independent developer, so our Windows installer isn't code-signed yet. Windows SmartScreen may warn that it "protected your PC" and blocked an unrecognized app. This is normal for new indie plugins and your download is safe — it just takes one extra click the first time.

Requires 64-bit Windows 10 or newer on an Intel or AMD processor. These steps are only needed once, on first install — updates install the same way.

1. Get the installer

Your Windows download link and license key are both in your purchase email. Lost it? Open your order portal, enter the email you purchased with, and you'll get a sign-in link — no password needed.

Download LOWR-Synth-Bass-v1.0-Windows-Installer.exe.

2. Run the installer (the one extra step)

Double-click the downloaded .exe. If SmartScreen blocks it:

  • Click More info in the blue dialog.
  • Click Run anyway.
  • Approve the User Account Control prompt so the installer can write to Program Files.

From there the installer walks you through normally. It puts the VST3 in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 and the standalone app in your Start menu. The plugin stays silent until you activate it with the license key from your purchase email.

3. Open it

  • In a DAW: rescan your plugins (most DAWs do this on restart) and LOWR Synth Bass will appear under instruments — Ableton Live, FL Studio, Cubase, Studio One, Reaper and any other VST3 host.
  • Standalone app: find LOWR Synth Bass in your Start menu (needs a MIDI controller to play).
  • Click the plugin window, enter the license key from your purchase email, and you're in business.

Prefer to install manually?

Your order also includes manual-install zips for the VST3 and the standalone app. Unzip and place them yourself:

  • LOWR Synth Bass.vst3 → C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
  • LOWR Synth Bass.exe → anywhere you like, then double-click to run

If Windows tags the unzipped files as coming from the internet, right-click each one → Properties → tick Unblock → OK.
